The Butchers Shop

Yungbaurra Butchery sources its meat from farms that raise their animals as naturally as possible, with outstanding welfare standards, ensuring high quality from paddock to plate.

When you walk into the Butchers Shop, you will also notice a growing collection of antiques, all a nod to this Heritage Listed Building and the Yungaburra Butchery's standing as the oldest Butchery in Queensland.

Jimmy and his team of qualified butchers and appetencies' offer fantastic service, high quality cuts of meat and a variety of speciality products, such as beef cooking-tallow, dog liver-treats, local honey and farm-fresh eggs.

Meet the Butcher

Jimmy purchased the historic Yungaburra Butchery in February, 2023. A true local, Jimmy grew up on the Tablelands and began working in a Butcher Shop at 12 years old.

Over the past decade and a half, Jimmy has refined his craft, both as a highly experienced Butcher and Small Business Owner.

He is passionate about providing his community with the best quality product on the Tablelands, as well as Speciality Products, unique to the Yungaburra Butchery.

Jimmy is constantly innovating, always has a smile on his face and runs a fantastic butchery.
